Geico, official sponsor of NEXT.
The modular and entirely customisable vehicle of the future.
Milan – xx October 2016 – Geico, international leader in the design and construction of automated turnkey vehicle-painting systems which has always embraced an environmentally friendly and innovative ethos, is the official sponsor of the Next project, based on the idea of sustainable and versatile transport.
Presented for the first time at the 2016 International Fair Innotrans, Berlin, Next is the first modular electric vehicle prototype, created by Tommaso Gecchelin and Emanuele Spera, capable of travelling alone or coupled with other modules, for use as a means of transport or for other services, such as mobile bars and catering.
Next is a mobility idea which entirely rethinks transport for the future: a means of transport capable of transforming according to needs, while reducing pollution and traffic.
Ali Reza Arabnia, President and CEO of Geico explains “We are always proud to be a part of projects which involve young people and look to the future. Innovation is the leitmotiv of all our activities. This is why when I met Tommaso and Emanuele, I had no doubt: I knew that Geico had to be a part of the project. For now Next is only a prototype, however it has the potential to become a widespread vehicle, both for private, public and also business use”.
Tommaso Gecchelin, Founder of the Next project, comments on this collaboration and affirms that: “Geico sponsorship was a determining contribution for our small start-up, for the creation of these full-scale prototypes which we proudly exhibited at the international Innotrans fair in Berlin, 2016. Our hope is that this is the first step towards the creation of entire fleets of NEXT vehicles, in which our official partner for advanced robotised painting is none other than Geico”.
